Björn Graf suggested I think about using Trac instead of Bugzilla. I looked at Trac a while ago and I do like the look of it but it has the following problems that would mean I couldn’t use it for PN:
- Trac doesn’t support voting on issues, so no benefit over the SF trackers
- Trac lists e-mail addresses for CC and similar in plain text on the page, I won’t post my e-mail address like that on the web and I wouldn’t expect my users to.
- No CVS Support, Trac only works with Subversion – this is a show-stopper
Apart from these (mostly minor) issues, I would very much like to use Trac – it’s an attractive and seemingly well written application. It certainly wins big points over Bugzilla for the UI.
