Most Annoying Bugs

Unfortunately SourceForge’s bug tracker isn’t particularly full featured, and doesn’t support useful things like voting. I’ve been toying with the idea of moving to a bugzilla installation on pnotepad.org but I like the fact that using the sourceforge tracker generates interest in PN.

Please use the comments on this bug to list your top 2 bugs that you’d like to see fixed in PN2.

    (shocking abuse of the comment functionality)

    That reminds me, don’t know if it’s already submitted as a bug or a feature request but it annoys me ;)

    -> A refresh option for the Project View!

    When manually adding, deleting or renaming a file it would be nice to be able to ‘refresh’ the files in the project view.

    Hi Simon,

    The bug that I described to you earlier about highlighting a whole word then doing Ctrl-F to do a search, not causing the highlighted word to show up in the search dialog. I don’t think I ever filled out a bug report, and I can’t remember if you’ve already fixed it. That sure was annoying for me. :-)

    I know that I’ve had some users complain about the output window going away and then they had difficulty getting it to come back.

    I have only one. When you press while focus is on main editor window then Output bar closes, but if you happen to click on any errors in Output bar and now focus is on Output bar then does not work anymore. I know there is a way to close it with F8, but its just I am already using for closing Output bar all the time.
    No big deal. Its just inconsistent.

    Please stop toying with the bugzilla idea and consider trac [1] :] Hm, having said that I cannot remember if it supports voting or not…

    Anyway, my current top issue has to do with XML formatting: see bugs #1212335 and #1212338.

    Mine would be bugs 1209962 (Keywords with : in can’t be added (i.e. ASP.NET tags)) and 1212335 (No code-folding for XML)

    1: Support for the SciTE/Scintilla (don’t know which is responsible) CTRL+Enter functionality, which instantly lists identifiers used in the document. Why I’m still using SciTE :-)

    2: Code folding for XML, definitely.

    Now that you have fixed the XML bug I would add bug 1151704/1207524 (which you said were essentially the same bug).

    Is it possible to put more keyboard shortcuts? Like shortcuts to toggle Text Clips and Project windows on and off? Simple keyboard shortcuts could be really helpful.

    Thanks for Ctrl-W (close current editor window) shortcut in build .61.
