From the “I’ve answered this question too many times” department:
Bizarrely one of the most common feature requests for PN 2 is indent and unindent. Here is how to indent text:
Select the text, press Tab.
Here is how to un-indent text (or de-dent):
Select the text, press Shift-Tab.
This works for any selection that spans more than one line, less than that and the text will be replaced with a tab character. This functionality can also be accessed from the right click (context) menu.
The help file in the next release also documents this feature, any luck and that’ll be the end of the duplicate feature requests!
Kind of off-topic here but also kind of related: It could help a bit when there’s a way to define hotkeys inside PN2 as I assume users would check there first before posting suggestions (and we all know that noone searches before submitting bug reports or suggestions, don’t we?). Anyway, if a spec for that feature was available someone could do the implementation
The egoistic side effect: I could remove this idiotic ctrl+w – ya, I know, VS.NET corrupts
Thanks for the info on the de-dent keystroke….I still think a button would be good for both indent and dedent. That would be a surefire way to stop the feature requests. Also a list of keystrokes would be nice….and eventually (i realize this is a big request) programmable keystrokes would be nice….
